This past summer, we stopped at the U.S.S. North Carolina on our way home from the beach. This is a huge and beautiful ship. While my family was exploring the lower decks, I stopped to take pictures of the various rooms including the sick bay. If there is anyone that I would want to be extremely careful if I am ill aboard a ship, it would be the medical staff. I learned there that operations and medical procedures had to be performed while under battle conditions. Stressfull! As a medical wife, I know that my husband and his colleagues invest an enormous amount of time to care for their patients. It is something they do not because they have to but because they want to.
